Labor Day

We drove to Joplin Missouri on Labor Day.

Emily got to add a sticker to another state she has visited. I know, Joplin is barely in to Missouri but it counts. We passed the state sign. It was a beautiful day and not a bad drive.

We went to the Precious Moments Museum. Since I was expecting just a bunch of cute little knick knacks lined up on a shelf it was way better than I imagined. It is really Sam Butcher's gift back to God for the gift he received from God. The whole place is filled with his paintings and statues. A thank you to the public for making him so popular.

After you walk through the immaculate grounds you arrive at the chapel and the tour guide then begins to tell you tales of the little children that have gone on to heaven. Some Mr. Butcher knew personally and some he picked off of the pages in the memorial room that friends and family wrote about.

The Fountain of Angels is on the left and Hallelujah Square is the picture on the right.

We had a great time but the very best was that we were joined by our friends from San Antonio, Chuck & Shirley.

Shirley's battle with cancer has reached a peak and she is beginning a last ditch effort to stall it. But through it all she remains positive and focused on the One and Only that can truly heal her. An amazing lady that cares more about the lost than she does about herself.
